
Marc Fowler, PsyD, NCSP
Marc Fowler, Psy.D. has specialized training in the identification of neuro-developmental disorders, including specific learning disabilities, attention disorders (ADHD), mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and developmental delays. Dr. Fowler also has considerable experience developing 504 plans, Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and working closely with IEP teams across elementary, middle, and high school staff.
Dr. Fowler is a licensed psychologist in the State of New York. He earned a doctorate degree in School Psychology from St. John’s University. Dr. Fowler has experience in both school districts and clinical settings, working with children, adolescents, and adults to provide neuropsychological evaluations and individual therapy.
Therapeutically, Dr. Fowler adapts his approach [including techniques from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Psychoanalytic, Person-centered, Problem-Solving, Mindfulness/Acceptance-based, and Systems theories)] to meet the needs of his clients. Dr. Fowler believes that effective therapeutic work must recognize the full spectrum of a client's identity. He utilizes a culturally responsive framework, acknowledging the critical impact of factors such as race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status on mental health.
